Our Trustees
They don’t just sit around a table. They guide us, keep us on track, ask the good, the bad and the difficult questions, and always back us with belief, time, expertise and care. Also known as: the wise ones.

Dr. James Parker
Chair
Having been with Alike since its inception, I am immensely proud of the journey that we’ve all been on. I've worked in cancer research for over a decade, consistently focusing on improving patients’ quality of life, and I’ve seen how loneliness and isolation affects so many people with cancer. I believe the work that Brad and the team do is absolutely integral to improving that part of the patient journey, and as the Chair of the board of trustees, it’s my job to support Alike as they build their platform and community.

Naomi Rhodes
Treasurer
Cancer is a disease that is particularly close to my heart, and I want to be able to help Brad and the team make a difference to those who most need it. As a commercial finance team leader with nine years of experience on strategic projects at Tesco PLC, my role is to work with Brad and the team, helping to inform their financial decisions to keep Alike financially compliant and sustainable. I love the variety and the pace — and that no two days are the same!

Chris Clark
Trustee
As a trustee on Alike’s Board and Founder of InHarmony Consulting Group, I am passionate about creating spaces where everyone can let their guard down and feel a sense of belonging. Drawing from my experience leading organizational development initiatives at Google, Soho House, and through my own consultancy, I bring global expertise in people strategy, program development, and building impactful partnerships. My work with Alike aligns with my belief in the power of community and data-driven solutions to drive meaningful change, and I aim to help Alike grow its reach in the UK and beyond.

Caz Millin-Brawn
Trustee
I’ve always been deeply committed to providing safe and supportive spaces for vulnerable communities — a commitment I’ve carried with me for over a decade in safety leadership roles at TikTok, Instagram and Meta. Alike’s mission resonates personally with me, and I’m honoured to contribute to such meaningful work. As a trustee, I provide my expertise in trust, safety and public policy. My goal is to help Alike strengthen its safeguarding practices and expand its reach, ensuring people feel seen, supported, and connected… I hope to amplify the incredible impact Alike is already making, fostering a sense of belonging for everyone involved.

Eshita Kabra
Trustee
I’ve always held community close to the heart of everything I do. As the Founder & CEO of By Rotation, the world’s largest shared wardrobe, I’ve found that principle is as valuable now as it was when I was 14 and started my first online community for graphic designers. I first crossed paths with Brad early on in my own founder journey, and have since become increasingly aware of the interpersonal journeys that people affected by cancer undergo. I am committed to using my product knowledge and professional networks in building digital communities to support Alike's journey in transforming relationships amongst communities impacted by cancer.

Rachel Priest
Trustee
Having spent over 15 years working with clients to establish innovative new products and technology experiences I am passionate about the role technology can play in improving lives and build a real connection between people. As a founding trustee I have been with Brad from the beginning: my own experiences with cancer have shown me first-hand how important this mission is, and I am so proud to see Alike grow, and foster real connection and combat loneliness.
Our Team
We’re the team behind the creation, timelines, bug fixes, app updates, strategy docs, community ideas and the ones who remind Bradley what day it is. We’re small, scrappy, and mighty, and we’re here to take the loneliness out of cancer, one good idea (and the occasional typo) at a time.

Bradley (he/they)
Founder
Bradley is the spark behind Alike. A two-time cancer survivor turned social entrepreneur, he knows first-hand how lonely cancer can feel, and how powerful it is when people connect in a meaningful way. With a background in PR, broadcast TV, health policy and business management, he blends lived experience and creativity with big-picture vision (plus stubborn energy, hyperfocus and charm) to make things happen. He tells stories that stick, builds partnerships that matter, and leads Alike with equal parts strategy and soul.

Seren (she/her)
Operations & Finance
Seren is the power behind Bradley’s spark, turning Alike from a passion project into a functioning organisation. A cancer survivor in her teens, she knows the value of support when it matters most. With a background in charity management, public health and English Literature, she blends a critical eye with a storyteller’s perspective, turning challenges into action (with clear KPIs, of course).

Sinead (she/her)
Engineering
Sinead is the engine of Alike, the powerhouse who turns ideas into reality. With a background in building just about everything, she takes big concepts and writes the code that brings them to life, keeping our app evolving and our ambitions practical. Passionate and committed, she gets a buzz from fixing problems and turning complexity into something people actually enjoy using.
Quietly unstoppable, she runs ultramarathons at about the same pace she ships features, always proving that const
makeComplexSimple = true;
. And when she is not behind her three screens, patiently listening to our wild ideas, she is probably halfway up a mountain, because balance is key.

Nick (he/him)
Product
Nick is the one who keeps us thinking bigger. Even while making waves in tech overseas, he still lends his sharp product mind to Alike. From the very beginning, he picked up our vision and helped put us on the right path, asking tough questions, challenging assumptions and cutting straight to what our community really needs.
Business-savvy and endlessly collaborative, Nick keeps us grounded while pushing us forward. And when he is a New York hotshot, we will be reminding him we are still here, waiting for our invite to the launch party (and maybe the karaoke after).

Francesca (she/her)
User Experience
Francesca shapes how Alike feels. Both as a designer and researcher, she has a gift for translating ideas into experiences that are human, intuitive and true to our mission. From our branding to the product itself, Francesca has embedded Alike’s values into every detail, never tiring of the tiny debates and split hairs that make design stronger.
Passionate about projects that drive social impact, she balances creativity with purpose and makes collaboration feel effortless. Away from Alike, she recently created a children’s watercolour alphabet and has a nature-inspired book on the horizon, a reminder that great design, like great stories, always starts with heart.

Emma (they/them)
Governance
Emma makes governance make sense. With more than a decade of experience in charity oversight and operational development, they bring strategy and reassurance, giving us clarity when the way forward feels uncertain. They help us strengthen how we work, track board decisions, rethink our structures and keep our focus where it belongs: on our community and support.
Guided by a commitment to equity and inclusion, Emma shows us governance is more than box ticking. It is a tool for building a fairer, more caring world. And when they are not untangling policies, they are painting, bringing the same thoughtful eye to a canvas as they do to Alike.

Jack
Accountancy
Jack keeps Alike’s finances in check. After founding a charity shaped by his own lived experience of cancer, he went on to set up his own accountancy company, bringing empathy, expertise and a talent for building things that last. With deep roots in the charity sector, Jack brings clarity to the often complicated world of rules and numbers.
He has a knack for making sense of finances and always seems to have the answer. Jack excels at whatever he puts his mind to, whether that is supporting charities, guiding people through their accounts, or hiking a mountain trail with his loyal dog, Holly.
Friends with Know-How…
The dream team who help Alike sound like a friend, look like a movement, and show up like we mean it From content to brand, comms to colour palettes, they help us make sense.

Honorary Patrons
We wouldn’t be here without Jack and Saima. They weren’t just part of the Alike story, they helped write its first chapter. This space honours their memory, and everything they gave to help build it.

Jack
Patron
Jack was a close friend of our founder, Brad, and a leader within our community. He believed in a digital peer support solution to connect young cancer patients, and gave us an essential understanding of technology to begin our work. Jack unfortunately passed in August 2019, but his legacy lives on through Alike.
A tribute to the people who made Alike happen but no longer with us.
